DFWTT Progress of Activities for 2014

Charity Program Update – In our continued pledge to donate $2 for each player that participates in our tournaments, DFWTT has donated $128 to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.

 

2014 Fall World Peace TT Pictures – Plano TT club hosted its Fall World Peace Table Tennis Tournament on November 15 at the Tom Muehlenbeck center. Grant Bergmann has made his photos from the tournament available at the following link: Pics

 

2014 DFWTT Fall Open – DFWTT hosted its yearly Fall Open tournament at the JCC on November 8th. All different levels of players competed in the USATT sanctioned and non-sanctioned events. Congratulations to all the winners and thank you to everyone who were able to attend the tournament.

Charity Program Update – In our continued pledge to donate $2 for each player that participates in our tournaments, DFWTT has donated $200 to the Dallas Chinese Community Center.

 

2014 Chinese Double Ten – DFWTT hosted the Chinese Double Ten Celebration tournament at the Cimarron recreation center on September 13. Thanks to everyone who attended this years event.

Charity Program Update – In our continued pledge to donate $2 for each player that participates in our tournaments, DFWTT has donated $190 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief fund.

 

2014 DFWTT Spring Open – DFWTT hosted its yearly Spring Open Tournament at the JCC on June 14. A total of 17 tables were used during the USATT sanctioned and non-sanctioned events held throughout the day. Thanks to everyone who helped out during the tournament and to all the participants involved.

2014 TMS College TT Championships – National Collegiate Table Tennis Association hosted the TMS College Table Tennis Championships on April 4, 5, and 6th in Monroeville, Pennsylvania. The NCTTA is a non-profit organization established exclusively for promoting the sport of table tennis at the college level. To view results and video, go the the NCTTA website. 2014 USATT Team Trials – Texas Wesleyan University hosted the National Team Trials on March 7, 8, and 9th at the Sid Richardson Center in Fort Worth. The top men and women players will be qualified to represent the USA at the 2014 World Championships. To view the final results and video recordings of the matches, go to the USATT website. Charity Program Update – In our continued pledge to donate $2 for each player that participates in our tournaments, DFWTT has donated $250, which includes $20 from Warren Lemma, to support the USATT Annual Giving Campaign program. The USATT Annual Fund will help support ongoing programs including the Juniors/Cadets, National Teams, USATT Enhancement Fund that supports the events and programs, the USATT Paralympic Programs and the USATT Foundation.

 

2014 Texas Winter Games – DFWTT hosted the Texas Winter Games Table Tennis Tournament on January 18th. The events took place inside the two Staley Middle School gymnasiums in Frisco, Texas. This was part of the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation (TAAF) Winter Games of Texas. The sports festival has Olympic style competitions for all ages and skill levels for a variety of sports. Medal winners from the Winter Games of Texas will be eligible to compete in the National State Games of America, which will take place in Lincoln, Nebraska on July 28 - August 2, 2015. Additional information: www.sga2015.com
